Electromedical treatment consists of acoustic waves supplied by a piezoelectric generator, a little like when taking blood pressure. There are different types of biological effects from these shock waves on tissues:

• instant vasodilation;
• release of plasma components that stimulate capillary neoangiogenesis.

In bone tissues the cavitational effect determines the breakdown of hydroxyapatite crystals, with the release of microcrystals, which cause an expansion of the number of calcium aggregation nuclei, with reactivation and expansion of the osteogenic response.
