He enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, where he graduated on September 27, 1985, with a grade of 110/110 summa cum laude, defending the thesis ‘Comparative evaluation between CT and Arthroscopy in the diagnosis of meniscal and ligamentous knee injuries,’ under the supervision of the esteemed Professor P. Bedeschi, who was the Director of the Orthopedic and Traumatological Clinic at the Policlinico of Modena. In the same year, he passed the State Examination for professional qualification with a score of 90/90.

Since January 1986, he has been registered with the Professional Register at the Order of Physicians and Dentists of Modena.”
